Slow Cooker Tomato Marinated Ribs

slow cooker ribs

My husband loves ribs, but I’m not really a fan. They are always too tough for me. So, since I just got a slow cooker, I decided to try them again. And . . . they came out delicious! I loved them and I’m not a big beef person. This recipe is, like all slow cooker recipes, very simple.

Slow Cooker Tomato Marinated Ribs

Serves 4

2.5 lbs ribs

2 small cans tomato sauce

1 c. beef consomme

2 onions, chopped

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

3 tomatoes, chopped

Place ribs in the slow cooker. In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients and pour over the ribs. Cook on high for 6 hours or on low for 8-10. You may want to turn the ribs in the middle to ensure they are thoroughly coated with tomato sauce.

The sauce is extra delicious on rice!
