Dine Without Whine - A Family Friendly Weekly Menu Plan

Wednesday Recipe Roundup 18

It’s been a hectic couple of weeks around here, but hopefully by this time next week, Gourmet Mama will be fixed up and ready to look great again. In the meantime, we’re ramping up the number of recipes and will soon be adding more informative articles. Don’t forget to stay tuned for August when we will start adding in some smoking videos!

While you’re waiting, I have a few recipes gleaned from the internet for you this morning. Since this is the perfect season in North America to have a picnic, I’m focusing on recipes that are perfect for picnics . . . why not plan one with the family for this Sunday?

Spiced Chickpea Wraps are just the thing to take on a picnic if you are looking for some vegetarian fare. They sound absolutely delicious!

There are so many options when it comes to salads that work to take along on picnics. You might want to try these nifty Cucumber Salad Bowls or maybe the Perfect Picnic Pasta.

For protein, here’s an awesome blog post that has not one, not two, but TEN different types of Deviled Egg recipes . . . definitely worth a read!

And finally, top the whole picnic off, these Raspberry, Olive Oil and Thyme Shortbread cookies sound odd, but I bet it’s a delightfully unique combination.

Picnics are simply fun. Considering the current economic situation, it is but normal to want to save money. Picnics are a great way to do this. What’s so great about a picnic is that children typically like them just as much as adults. Hey, grab your picnic baskets and be delighted.
