The Perfect Thanksgiving: Making Stuffing

Stuffing is a delicious dish whether you actually use it to stuff your turkey or not. I personally like to bake it separately and enjoy it as is!

It`s super easy to make stuffing. Here`s a basic recipe that tastes just lovely. The only thing you need to watch for is that you don`t overbake, since it can get rather dry.

stuffing

Basic Stuffing Recipe

1 loaf of day old bread, cubed

2 onions, chopped

4 sticks celery, chopped

1 stick margarine, melted

2 cups chicken or turkey stock

2 Tablespoons parsley, minced

1 tsp. dried basil

salt and pepper

First, saute onions and celery in a little oil until transparent. Pour this, along with the melted butter and chicken stock over the bread and toss until thoroughly coated. Add spices and herbs and toss again.

Place in a greased casserole dish and back at 350ยบ for about an hour or until the stuffing is moist, but cooked through.

It`s literally that easy!
