Simple Homemade Ice Cream

At first glance, homemade ice cream seems to be a huge production, particularly if you are looking at custard based recipes that require eggs and cooking and the whole nine yards. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be that complicated! You can easily turn out delicious homemade ice cream with very little production at all.

The basic recipe is extremely simple. All you need are the following ingredients:

2 c. cold heavy cream
1 c. cold whole milk
3/4 c. sugar
2 Tblsp. vanilla extract

Stir ingredients together until the sugar has dissolved, then freeze in your ice cream maker according to the instructions. That’s it! You will have delicious, homemade ice cream in no time.
