Milk and Honey Chicken Legs

Honey and Milk Chicken
This is a recipe I came up with one night when trying to figure out what to do with some chicken legs I had on hand. My sons, 2 and 3, tend to like their chicken done KFC style and hubby prefers it fried, but I wanted something healthier.

The fridge was empty, so this is what I came up with . . . milk, honey and some herbs turned ordinary chicken legs into a gourmet dish that EVERYONE in my family loved. My 3 year old even ate 2 entire legs on his own! Needless to say, this has become a staple meal around here, being one of about 3 that the entire family will happily scarf down.

Milk and Honey Chicken can be served with just about anything. On top of rice, with a side of peas and carrots or alongside pasta. I often save the milk used in cooking to use as the base of a creamy pasta sauce.

Milk and Honey Chicken Legs

6 chicken legs

1.5 cups milk

2 Tblsp honey

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried oregano

Preheat oven to 350ยบ. Lay chicken legs in a casserole dish or a 9×13 baking pan.

Whisk milk and honey together, add herbs and whisk again. Pour over the chicken and bake, covered with a sheet of loose tinfoil, for 20-30 minutes or until the chicken is done.

That`s it. Super simple and yet delicious! Here`s a couple shots of my kids enjoying it.
