Honey Nut Cheerio Squares

We’ve all heard of Rice Krispie Squares and have probably all had them a million times! Here’s a great twist on the old classic though. Instead of using Rice Krispies, use Cheerios instead! Same concept, but totally different taste!

Honey Nut Cheerio Squares

1/4 cup margarine

1 bag mini marshmallows

6-8 cups Honey Nut Cheerios (You can use just regular cheerios if thats all you have but the honey nut ones have a great flavor to them!

Melt the margarine in a big pot and add the marshmallows. Keep stirring them until they are all melted together. Slowly add the cereal continuing to stir so that they get completely coated.

When you have added all of the cereal, pour it into a 9×13 pan and spread it out evenly. Allow it to cool, cut into squares and serve!

These make a great addition to school lunches. Just wrap the squares individually in cling wrap once they are cool and store in the fridge for up to two weeks. They are quick and easy to grab and go when you are running out the door!
