Green Breakfast Smoothie
Lately, we’ve been looking at quick and easy breakfasts to whip up around here. I hate to say it, but cereal has been pretty standard for the kids these days . . . it’s been tough trying to cook decent breakfasts with a newborn! One thing we really enjoy though is a green smoothie. It’s thick and filling and totally healthy. You get a nice dose of fiber and this smoothie has your back when you’re in need of energy fast.
Green Breakfast Smoothie
Makes 4 servings
3 bananas, the riper, the better
1 1/2 c. strawberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 c. pineapple
1 c. plain yogurt
1/2 c. milk (you can substitute milk for the yogurt, as well, if you want)
1 tsp. cinnamon powder
1-2 c. fresh baby spinach
Put all ingredients into the blender, with the spinach at the bottom so it will blend better. Blend for 2 minutes or until completely smooth. Enjoy!
