Creepy Halloween Pizzas

mummy pizza

I know, I know, it’s still early, but that’s all the better reason to show you these fun little pizzas! You’ll want to make them more than once and they’re easy enough that you can. My boys loved taste testing these and with a whole wheat crust, the pizzas are pretty darn healthy . . . plus I snuck some extra veggies into the sauce.

Creepy Halloween Pizzas

Makes 4

Whole wheat pizza crust
Slices of mozzarella cheese
Tomato sauce
Black or green olives

Spiderweb Pizza

To make the spiderweb pizza, start by spreading your sauce over the pizza crust. Then cut your mozzarella slices into strips, about 1/4-1/2 inch wide. Lay them across the pizza to form the spokes of the web. If you have a larger pizza, you may need to run them from the center out to the crust instead of crossing the entire pizza. You should have six spokes.

Now trim the remaining strips to fit between the spokes. You’ll want three levels or so. Lay them across the spokes to form the in between parts of the spiderweb.

Cut the tip off an olive and then slice the rest of the olive in half lengthwise. Place one half cut side down on the pizza, adding the tip at the cut end for the head. Cut the remaining half into eight “legs” and arrange them on either side of the spider.

Bake as usual.

Mummy Pizza

This is a fun pizza that is easy enough for kids to do! Spread the sauce over your pizza and then cut your cheese into 1/2″ strips.

Cut an olive (preferably stuffed) in half and put on the pizza as eyes, cut side out. Then begin to lay the strips of cheese across the pizza. You will want to leave the eyes clear, but wrap around them. Use smaller pieces to tuck under the long ones at the top and bottom of the head.

Bake as usual.
